Useful tips

  • Equipment: cap, sunglasses, water bottle and sunscreen.

  • The activity is conditional on favorable weather conditions.

  • Stand-up paddleboarding should be restricted to the bay.

  • Navigating conditions on the Manicouagan Crater Lake are similar to those of the St. Lawrence River, without the tides.

  • Waves can reach as much as two metres high in windy conditions, putting your safety at risk. Be careful and stay within the recommended area.

  • The weather is very changing; conditions can deteriorate or change very. As such, you must remain alert and attentive at all times.

  • 30-minute preparation and safety briefing

  • Departure at 10:30 am or 2:30 pm 

  • Reservation required 

  • From July 1st to September 4th

  • Board, paddle, PFD and safety equipment provided

  • Beginner level, the distance covered depends on your physical condition

The vast expanse of the Manicouagan Crater Lake really makes its presence felt! You are sure to appreciate both the immensity and the soothing tranquility of its landscapes. And if you look in the distance, you will take in the impressive Uapishka (Groulx) mountain range, one of the largest and highest in Quebec.
